Happy Birthday?

I don’t really know what to say. All I can think about was a year ago at this time when I came up to Buffalo unannounced for your 75th. I was sitting in the living room by the fire and Stephen brought you in to sit on the couch for a while and you sat down right next to me. “Hi Dad!” I said… “Oh Jimmuh!”

It was a nice surprise for both of us.

So I’ll have to honor this birthday of yours without you.
I’m going to head up to the top of Haleakala just before midnight tonight. There will be a huge meteor storm that is supposed to peak right at midnight.
I’m going to bring Beethoven’s 5th and 9th to enjoy and think about you when I’m there and watch the celestial fireworks which will be in your honor no doubt.
