Ed Powell. Quite a unique individual, this man was. He was thought provoking and dedicated to discovering the originality and beauty in all. I wish I could have his perspective, in its entirety, to draw upon for all the decisions I will make. His open mind and open heart would never lead one astray, only down a new and possibly more challenging path. What struck me most about Ed was his ability to listen. Here was a man who had so much to add yet would still take the time to listen to what my 27 years had to offer. That was impressive. No matter how much time you spent with Ed it was not enough. Whether you had tea, a joint in the park or a lifetime with Ed, he touched you. He was a teacher, whether at every moment he meant to be or not. If you engaged him only for an instance you would learn something and see what I mean. Ed, I feel sincerely privileged to have made your acquaintance.
