Such a beautiful passage from yourself to your Dad. Ed is not gone, 124 Jewett is not gone, and the rapid THUMP, THUMP of the ball of the IBM Selectric beats like the sound of our collective heart. I sit here in my own 3rd floor (as is Steve) "bat cave" pounding away at 3:00am on my computer, wondering if I'm subtly engraving my own children with visions of "bat lore", if so and they were smoking cigarettes, listening to E,L,P (or the contemporary equivalent) and looking introspectively themselves and writing poetry, as a true father (teacher) I would say "Son, I'm very Proud of you!" as I'm sure that this is true of ED. Sometimes children unleash such profound thought that it take a supreme intellectual to preserve the moment and also take years to understand that moment. "A true Wiseman lays the pathstones to find ourselves" love, P.S. This is one of My daughter's Poems, I'm ever gone, I would like for someone to give this to her and tell her it is true to my heart.
