Dad,
I watched a program about Carol Woltiwa (Pope John John Paul II) and he reminded me of you. He is a thinker and philosopher.
Was that woman at your funeral right? Were you an angel, and did not even know it? You kindeness sure showed it. Your ability to listen, your ability to draw others out, especially me.
As the years will pass, so will the memory of you father. I struggle without you, you were my light in the storm. Though it dims, I do not lose sight of your message...
"Do what is right, do what is good, forment revolution." Make change for humanity, make revolution for humanities sake...
-As the first year passes, my love never fades for you. I will always remember your loving kindness dad, and your firece idealism, the rights of man! -Thomas Paine finds good company in you. Company in such a formidible man as you Ed Powell. Wow, I am proud to have you as a dad!
-Love, Steve
