Even as time passes Ed's voice, and the memory of him, is still very strong. Increasingly I find myself thinking "What would Ed say .. " about the elections, about Bush, about the war, and about many, many things. Maybe "nothing that is worth doing being able to be completed in one lifetime" is true for most people but Ed had such a singular and special role that his worth was his life ... and it has been completed, and without him here we all diminished. Just a note to let you know that Ed is yet well remembered. : Somehow the passage of time seems to accellate with you gone. Uncle Harold died this past weekend. He made it to 96! I know how much you wanted to finish your autobiography, and when I was in Buffalo a couple weeks ago and I looked at some of your papers, and journals and was constantly confronted by your words at the begining of your handwritten notebooks about nothing that is worth doing being able to be completed in one lifetime. : I hope Stephen and I will be able to pick up the torch on your behalf.
Dear Stephen, Jim and Karen;
: Love
