His heart and home were open to all. Many of my troubled teen weekends were spent at Ed's house (as Jim's guest) that offered a sense of Peace even with all the activity. It was like a 2nd home. The cookouts, cleaning the pool and other projects, the fishing trips, discussing the news and running around Delaware Park with Ed, Jim and tippi?? (the dog) are all cherished memories that no one can take away. There were instructions on the front door on how to answer the door and what to do if it was the FBI but still the sense of peace would persevere. I have no doubt there's a room for Ed in heaven's Mansion.
WHO COULD EVER FORGET ED POWELL.
Ed's house offered a place of refuge to many a soul, in more ways than one.
Ed arbitrated a disagreement between me and my brother for over a hour one day up in the attic (or Bat cave).
