I find it so unbelievable that this moment has come for my mentor and friend. I met Ed in soc of self my first year at UB. The chairs were in lines as most classrooms are set. This did not meet with his idea of a class,so we placed the seats in a circle."this is how a class is run" how could you not love this in a person. He taught me about me,and issues I had held on to for 19 years.

Ed was more than a teacher he was a listener. I would see him riding along Millersport in the rain or snow and ask him if he needed a lift "well that would give us a little more time to talk" I only wish we still had a little more time Ed. I have three terrific kids a great husband and a house in the burbs you would puke.

Thank you Ed's family for sharing your dad with all of us for so long he has shown us how to look at the crazy world and at how we fit in it.I will miss him very much
